Changes to the Public Prescription Drug Insurance Plan

Effective July 1, 2026, changes were made to the reimbursement parameters of the Public Drug Insurance Plan. Below are the key parameters of the Public Plan that are most commonly compared with the health insurance coverage provided under group insurance plans:
- The maximum annual premium increases by 3.0%, from $766 to $789.
- The monthly deductible decreases by 3.4%, from $22.00 to $21.25 (from $264 to $255 annually).
- The 30% coinsurance rate remains unchanged.
- The maximum monthly contribution increases by 2.5%, from $102.64 to $105.25 (from $1,232 to $1,263 annually).
These parameters will apply from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
